Attitude

I've always loved teaching. Being a teacher is quite the fantastic adventure. But I would be lying if I said I didn't other passions, if I didn't see myself doing something else with my life. This is why I wanted to take some time off teaching while I was in Ireland. I want to try out different things, including a different career path. And what do I love above all else? Fashion!

I am looking to work in the fashion industry, because when you do what you love, it can hardly be called work, wouldn't you say? You know the feeling you get when you're wearing an outfit that looks really good on you? When every piece simply brings out your best assets and fits you perfectly? The feeling of confidence that only a rocking pair of shoes can give you? And most of all, the feeling that the world is your own private runway? Yes, that feeling, right there! That is what I want to help people find. I believe that everybody deserves to feel their very best in their clothes and I want to help them achieve that.

Fashion is so much more than just clothes. It's an attitude! You know when you see someone wearing an outfit that is a bit different, but that suits them? You may actually think, "Wow, I love what she is wearing, but I could never pull it off." Nonsense! That is the attitude I am talking about. That girl can pull off that legging-instead-of-pants-look because she believes she can. She keeps her head held high and is walking with the attitude that she's owning her look. She's not pulling at her shirt, trying of cover her legs or looking uncomfortable. She is in complete control of how she wants to look and THAT is what fashion is all about.

I urge you to find that outfit that makes you walk with your head up high and that, "Oh yeah, I know I look good" feeling. Find it and wear it was often as you can. Don't be afraid to try new and different things, but the key is to find something you are comfortable wearing. And I am not talking about sweatpants and hoodies comfortable. I am talking about clothing that you won't be tugging at, pulling at and constantly rearranging. If you're not comfortable wearing leggings as pants, then don't! You can always start with baby steps by wearing them with a short dress, a long cardigan, etc.

So in the morning, when choosing what you'll be wearing for the day, don't forget that everybody deserves to feel like a millions bucks, you included.

Bien à vous, Yours truly
