Great news!!

This morning, I received a call from the school at which I did my 4 months internship before Christmas. As of tomorrow, they need someone for a teacher's aid position until the end of the school year. PLUS, it's in the class I did my placement! This means I'll be able to work full time in a school I absolutely love AND in my class room with my students and the teacher that I simply adore! I am so giddy, since of course, I accepted right away. Since tomorrow will be my first day of work, I've been trying to plan my outfit. It's a bit hard, because I want to look professional, however, I also need to be comfortable and ready to run, so skirts are pretty much out of the question, sadly.  Anyways, this is what I came up with in regards of my first day on the job outfit.

Ce matin, j'ai reçu un appel de l'école à laquelle j'ai fait mon stage de 4 mois avant Noël. À partir de demain, ils ont besoin de quelqu'un pour combler la position d'aide à l'enseignant jusqu'à la fin de l'année scolaire. En plus, c'est dans la classe dans laquelle j'ai fait mon stage! Cela signifie que je vais être capable de travailler à temps plein dans une école dont je suis absolument amoureuse et dans ma salle de classe avec mes élèves et l'enseignante que j'adore tout simplement! Je suis tellement contente puisque, bien sûr, j'ai accepté tout de suite. Puisque demain sera ma première journée de travail, j'ai essayé de planifier ma tenue. C'est un peu difficile  puisque je veux avoir l'air professionnel, mais je veux aussi être confortable et prête à courir, alors les jupes sont à peu près hors de question, malheureusement. Quoi qu'il en soit, voici ce à quoi je me suis arrêtée pour ce qui en est de ma tenue de première journée de travail.

P.S.: Un petit rappel que j'ai créé ce tableau de planification des habits du jour, mais la poupée vient d'ici.

Today I...

... made a cake for my last cake decorating lesson. This is the final product. I have to say, for a beginning cake decorator, I think I did a pretty darn good job. With lots of practice and different techniques, I'm sure I'll eventually be able to make some very pretty cakes. Also, I included a few photos of the cupcakes we made last week.

... fait un gâteau pour la dernière session de mon cours pour apprendre à décorer des gâteaux. Voici le produit final! Je dois avouer, pour une apprentie décoratrice de gâteaux , je pense que j'ai fait un assez beau travail. Avec un peu plus de pratique et différentes techniques, je crois que je serai capable de faire d'assez jolis gâteaux. De plus, j'ajoute quelques photos des petits gâteaux que nous avons fait la semaine dernière.

Hello friends...

So many sweet things have happened since my last post! First of all, I would like to announce that I am officially a university graduate! I wrote my very last exam last Saturday!! Although I am extremely excited, I don't really feel like I'm done. I actually feel like I'm going back in September. I'm guessing it'll feel more realistic when I have the actual piece of paper that proves that I'm done in my hand (less than a month!)

And then, this week, I found the new apartment in which we'll be moving the first June. It is simply gorgeous! I cannot wait to post pictures once we're all moved in.

And last but not least, I am writing this post from my new toy, a little gift I got myself as a graduation gift: an iPhone! I am absolutely loving it, although it would be much faster to be writing this on my computer. However, I am at work (yeah, at 4 am) and don't have access to the Internet. Anyways, I'm going to go and finish watching the Big Bang episode that's playing ( gotta love Sheldon !) You guys have a great day!

Plusieurs bonnes choses se sont produites depuis mon dernier article! Premièrement, je désire vous annoncer que je suis désormais officiellement une graduée de l'Université! J'ai terminé mon dernier examen samedi matin passé!! Même si je suis extrêmement contente, je ne me sens pas comme si j'ai véritablement terminé. C'est comme si je retournais aux études en septembre prochain. J'imagine que ce sera plus officiel dans mon subconscient une fois que j'aurai ce petit bout de papier qui prouve que j'ai fini mes études postes-secondaires (moins d'un mois!)

Ensuite, cette semaine, j'ai trouvé un nouvel appartement dans lequel nous allons déménager en début juin. Cet appartement est simplement adorable! Je ne peux pas attendre d'afficher des photos dès que nous serons déménagés.

Et dernièrement, j'écris cet article à partir de mon nouveau jouet, un petit cadeau que je me suis fait en guise de félicitations: un iPhone! Je vous le dit, j'en suis complètement amoureuse, même si c'est plus vite à écrire cet article à partir de mon ordinateur. Cependant, je suis au travail (et oui, à 4h du matin) et je n'ai pas accès à Internet. De toutes façons, je dois vous laisser afin de regarder l'émission de Big Bang qui est à la télévision (j'adore Sheldon!) Passez une belle journée!

Weekly : Look I'm loving right now...

What do these pictures have in common? The look I'm absolutely loving right now, which is the "off  the shoulder" look. I find there's a certain careless-chicness about it. I cannot wait for the heat to get here so I can try on this look.

Qu'est-ce que ces photos ont en commun? Le look dont je suis absolument amoureuse en ce moment, qui est le "off the shoulder" look. Je trouve qu'il y a un certain air de chic/peu m'importe. Je ne peux pas attendre que la température augmente afin que je puisse l'essayer.

First cake!

So I've started taking cake decorating classes. Although I only had one class so far, I've been itching to try decorating a whole cake. So today, instead of studying like I should (hurray for procrastination!) I decided to bake and decorate my very first cake!
The icing could have been a bit thicker, and the base icing much neater, but hey! I'm no professional and besides, you learn from your mistakes, right?
Oh and I didn't really have anything to celebrate with a cake, so I wrote "Happy 13 degrees day", since today it the hottest day so far in this year!

J'ai commencé à suivre des cours de décoration de gâteaux. Même si je n'ai assisté qu'à un cours jusqu'à présent, j'avais vraiment envie d'essayer de décorer un gâteau en entier. Alors aujourd'hui, au lieu d'étudier comme je devrais le faire (vive la procrastination!) j'ai décidé de faire et de décorer mon premier gâteau! Il est vrai que le glaçage pourrait être plus épais, et le glaçage de base mieux étalé, mais hey! Je ne suis pas une professionnelle et de plus, on apprend de nos erreurs, par vrai?
Oh et puisque je n'avais pas vraiment de raisons pour célébrer avec un gâteau, j'ai écrit "Joyeuse journée de 13 degré", puisque c'est la journée la plus chaude jusqu'à présent pour cette année!

Just thougth I'd share how happy I am!!!

... wow, I'm an awful blogger! I haven't posted in sooo long, BUT I will post much more often as of now since yesterday was my last day of classes ever! I have 3 exams left and as of next Saturday, I will officially be a university graduate!All I need is that little piece of paper to prove it and then my student years are over! It is kind of bitter sweet, because I loved studying (call me crazy) and going to class, but it is such a relief. I feel like I can now breath again, until I have to start paying my student loan that is.

...wow, quel horrible blogger je fais! Je n'ai pas écrit depuis tellement longtemps, MAIS je vais pouvoir le faire beaucoup plus souvent dorénavant, puisque hier était ma dernière journées de classes! Il me reste 3 examens et à partir de samedi prochain, je serai officiellement une graduée de l'université! Tout ce qu'il me reste est ce petit bout de papier comme preuve et mes années en tant qu'étudiants seront terminées! C'est un moment assez heureux/triste, puisque j'adore étudier (appelez moi folle) et aller en classes, mais je me sens tellement légère. C'est comme si je peux respirer à nouveau,  et ce jusqu'à ce qu'il va falloir que je commence à payer mes prêts étudiants.
