It has now been raining non-stop for a couple days, here in Ireland, and if you have any plans of traveling to this country, regardless of what time of the year it is, here are the basic things you can't forget to bring with you: A rain coat that doubles as a wind breaker, an umbrella, preferably one that folds small enough to fit in your purse or backpack because you will need it with you at all times, and water resistant boots. Also, and I know this is a given but, don't forget your camera. Ireland has some of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen with it's nature ranging from sea side cliffs, to mountains and you are going to want to document every single thing you see! Just be prepared for the rain! It's like a local once said "This is Ireland, dear. You bring your rain coat everywhere!"
